Frequently Asked Questions
We hate vague marketing answers as much as you do. Before you send us your CAD files, here are the hard facts regarding our MOQs, hidden costs, and lead times. No fluff, just the details you need to make an informed supplier decision.
What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)? Do you accept 1-off prototypes?
We do not have a strict MOQ. Yes, we routinely fabricate 1-off custom prototypes. We know that proving the design in the field with a first-article prototype is the only way to secure the 100-unit production run. You will receive the exact same engineering rigor for a single box as you would for a full truckload.
Will I be charged expensive tooling or setup fees for custom cutouts?
In 99% of cases, No. Because we utilize advanced 5-axis fiber laser cutting technology, custom HMI window cutouts, non-standard louver patterns, or unique gland plate layouts are simply programming changes. We don’t need to build a $5,000 physical punch die just to cut a custom hole. This keeps your upfront costs extremely low.
How can I verify that I am actually receiving 316L and not cheaper 304 stainless?
We never ask you to take our word for it. Every custom enclosure we ship includes fully traceable Material Test Reports (MTRs) directly from the steel mill. These documents prove the exact chemical composition (including Molybdenum content) of the steel used in your specific batch, ensuring your compliance audits go smoothly.
What is the standard lead time from CAD approval to shipping?
Standard lead times typically range from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the enclosure (e.g., custom thermal management integrations or special powder-coated finishes). However, because we provide quotes within 24 hours, you will know your exact, guaranteed shipping date before you issue the Purchase Order.
Are your enclosures UL Listed or certified?
We manufacture strictly to NEMA 4X, NEMA 6P, IP69K, and UL 508A structural guidelines. If your project specifically requires a physical UL Label applied to the enclosure prior to shipping, please specify this in your RFQ. We have the capability to provide certified labeling to meet your electrical inspector’s requirements.
