Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to your engineering and supply chain questions. No sales spin. Just the exact operational facts you need to specify us as your approved vendor.
What CAD file formats do you accept for quoting and manufacturing?
Are there really no NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) or tooling fees for prototypes?
Correct. Because we utilize CNC fiber lasers and automated press brakes instead of traditional stamping presses, we do not require custom hard tooling for sheet metal junction boxes. You pay exclusively for the raw material, machine time, and surface finishing.
Can you supply and install hardware like grounding studs, hinges, and quarter-turn latches?
How do you handle shipping to ensure the enclosures aren't scratched or dented?
This is critical, especially for NEMA 4X stainless enclosures or custom powder-coated parts. We do not throw boxes into loose gaylords. Every enclosure is individually wrapped, protected with rigid edge corners, and securely strapped to custom pallets. For high-volume production, we can design custom returnable dunnage tailored to your assembly line.
Do your custom junction boxes come with a UL label?
It is important to clarify the UL compliance structure. We fabricate the unpopulated enclosure strictly to UL 50 and UL 508A construction standards including proper material thickness, weld integrity, and gasket specifications. The final UL listing sticker is typically applied to the fully populated control panel by your certified electrical shop. Our manufacturing guarantee ensures that our enclosure structure will never be the reason your assembly fails a UL field inspection.
